My approach is simple: every family is different, so there is never a one-size-fits-all solution.  I focus on understanding your unique journey, your worries and needs, and gently work with you and your baby toward calm, confidence and connection.

Together, we’ll explore what works best for your family and help you and your baby find your own rhythm.

Breastfeeding consultations (antenatal & postnatal)

Breastfeeding Consultation
Breastfeeding home visit

Breastfeeding can be beautiful—but it’s not always easy. Whether you’re preparing for breastfeeding during pregnancy or need help after birth, I offer one-on-one, responsive lactation and breastfeeding support. Together, we can work through common challenges like milk supply, attachment or latching difficulties, and emotional wellbeing—helping you feel confident and supported on your breastfeeding journey

What You Can Expect During a Consult

  • Initial Assessment: I will listen to your story, including your pregnancy, birth, and any previous or current feeding experiences, ensuring your concerns are truly heard.
  • Feeding Observation: If you wish, a feeding session can be gently observed to understand how your baby is attaching and feeding
  • Physical Examination: With sensitivity, I may need to check for things like tongue tie or nipple discomfort, and weighing baby, always respecting you and your baby’s comfort and privacy.
  • Personalised Advice: Thoughtful, tailored guidance will be offered to help improve attachment, boost milk supply, ease discomfort, and support any feeding difficulties you may encounter.
  • Care Plan: create a personalised plan together, focused on your hopes and needs, with gentle follow-up and ongoing encouragement.
  • Resources and Referrals: Support extends beyond the consultation, with helpful resources and, if needed, referrals to other caring health professionals.

Who Can Benefit?
These consultations welcome:

Sleep and settling your baby consultations

If you’re finding your baby or toddler’s sleep challenging, I provide gentle, holistic support to help you understand your baby’s sleep pressure and cues. Together, we’ll create a realistic approach that aligns with your child’s natural rhythms, nurtures you baby’s developing brain and your family’s values—without pressure or rigid routines.

What you can expect during a baby sleep consultation

  • Neuroprotective approach to gently support your baby’s sleep needs: This means we focus on practices that protect and nurture your baby's developing brain while supporting sleep.
  • Reading your baby’s cues and soothing in a way that feels right for you
  • Understanding sleep pressure and the use of sensory experiences to support sleep: Sleep pressure refers to the natural buildup of tiredness that helps your baby fall asleep more easily.
  • Practical approaches are shared to help you respond to and soothe an unsettled or crying baby, focusing on gentle methods that promote comfort and reassurance.

 Common Issues Addressed

  • Day and night sleeps – what is normal for your baby
  • Unsettled baby and crying
  • Parent wellbeing - your wellbeing is prioritised, with ongoing support and encouragement.
